2014 Honda Civic Reviews

The Honda Civic received a pretty big makeover for 2014. Major styling enhancements, more standard features, a quieter ride and an upgrade to the interior materials are some of the highlights brought to you by the new Honda Civic!

Kelley Blue Book says, "Thanks to an expanded list of standard features and sharper driving dynamics, the 2014 Honda Civic is primed to retain the top spot over category heavyweights like the Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra, Chevrolet Cruze and Toyota Corolla."

On this page you can see what makes the Civic standout from the competition and hear from unbiased Automotive experts about their Honda Civic Reviews and experiences.

The 2014 Civic got a complete front and rear makeover giving it a more superior and enthusiastic feel.

In front, a newer and more open lower bumper with horizontal chrome accents and a sportier, black honeycomb mesh grille is anchored by new integrated fog lights on the higher trim levels. The grille comes out with a new clear-lens corner light that provides that more superior look. The new front end flows beautifully into the new and taller hood.

The back gets some sophisticated updates and it starts with the new bumper design. Both the bumper and trunk lid are topped off with a clean shiny chrome trim piece. The all new taillight design provides a very upscale look. Restyled wheels on all Honda models bring a very sharp look.

Safety is never an option at Honda.  The 2014 Civic earned top grades for overall protection in government crash tests and was awarded the Top Safety Pick Plus award by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. We hope that you never need to experience all the incredible safety features on the Civic but you can have peace of mind knowing that they will be there when you need them most!

Kelley Blue Book

Civic is not tops in the compact class at everything, but its strength lies in that it really has no glaring faults. ... Although Civic is now up against a much tougher group of rival cars -- some of which might best it from a 'features per dollar' standpoint -- it's still a compact-car Best Buy.
Consumer Guide

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) created the 5-Star Safety Ratings Program to provide consumers with information about the crash protection and rollover safety of new vehicles beyond what is required by Federal law. One star is the lowest rating; five stars is the highest. More stars equal safer cars.

The 2014 Honda Civic makes some safety additions to stay ahead of the competition. First they add Advanced compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure. This structure is exclusive to Honda and enhances the safety for all passengers.  The unique design utilizes multiple connected structural pillars that help evenly distribute crash energy through the entire vehicle.

Second they add new airbag technology with Smart Vent Front Side Airbags. Again, of course everyone hopes to avoid an accident but in the unfortunate event you have one, Honda has you covered.  This new Smart Vent technology is designed to protect the driver or passenger from upper body injury.  It is also smart enough to vent before it fully inflates if the driver or passenger is in the airbags deployment path, this will help decrease the probability for an injury from the airbag itself.

Honda's commitment to constant safety and performance innovations make Honda a top choice for consumers when shopping for a new vehicle. JD Power gives the 2014 Honda Accord an overall score of 5 stars in initial quality. Take a look at just one of Honda's reliability stories below!
Honda Mile Makers Highlight!

My Civic is still going strong after 460,000 miles. People drive it and tell me it still drives nicer than some of the new economy cars. Manual transmission shifts great, no play in the shifter. The car rides great and I still drive it on trips and to work every day. I got some standard rust around the wheel wells but car still runs awesome! Ryan W

I got my Civic in Oct of 2002. I have been driving for 6 years 90 miles one way. I finally got a job closer to home but that don't stop me from driving. I still drive 90 plus almost every weekend. I have not replaced anything major on it and it's still going strong. I replace a few parts here and there. I love this car.
