2015 Honda Accord Reviews

Front Grille
The ninth-generation Accord has a look that's both sporty and sophisticated. And it begins right up front with the bold yet elegant grille.

Alloy Wheels

Beautifully designed alloy wheels come standard on every Accord, evoking a luxurious, refined style that's pleasantly understated.

185-hp, 2.4-Liter, 16-Valve, Earth Dreams 4-Cylinder Engine

The Earth Dreams DOHC i-VTEC® system enhances the effect of VTEC® on Accord's 4-cylinder engines with Variable Timing Control, or VTC. Direct-injection technology leads to better combustion and a more efficient use of fuel.

278-hp, 3.5-Liter, 24-Valve, SOHC i-VTEC® V-6 Engine
The Accord V-6's i-VTEC® system is designed to deliver outstanding performance at any engine speed. And with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM®), you get thrilling acceleration with maximum fuel efficiency.

6-Speed Automatic Transmission

We've added a sixth gear to the Accord, because sometimes you just need to kick it up a notch. The 6-speed automatic transmission uses the engine's broad torque curve for brisk acceleration, optimized fuel economy and smooth shifting.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) uses the audio system to generate out-of-phase sound waves to reduce engine noise inside the cabin and create a more pleasant driving experience.

MacPherson Strut Front Suspension
Upgrade the suspension, upgrade the performance. The MacPherson strut front suspension utilizes a rebound spring in the shock tube that helps the Accord stay connected to the road, so you can corner with greater stability and confidence. The MacPherson strut's compact design also helps reduce road noise and vibration.

Throttle System

The Drive-by-Wire throttle system helps enhance the driving character of the Accord Sedan. With smart electronics connecting the throttle pedal to the throttle butterfly valve in the intake manifold, the engine response can be optimized to suit the driving conditions and to better match the driver's expectations.

Variable Cylinder Management (VCM®)
The Accord Sedan's V-6 engine features Variable Cylinder Management (VCM®) technology. This system can activate and deactivate the engine's cylinders as needed to meet the demands of both power and fuel economy[1]. When maximum torque is required, all six cylinders are firing. During steady cruising speeds, VCM allows Accord to run on just three cylinders.

Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) II Body Structure
The Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE)II body structure features our highest-grade steel yet. ACE is a Honda exclusive body design that utilizes a network of connected structural elements to distribute frontal crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle. This helps reduce the force transferred to the cabin and evenly disperse the forces transferred to other vehicles involved.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
All Accord models feature 4-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock brakes (ABS). ABS pulses the brakes to help prevent wheel lockup and help the driver retain steering control during hard braking. The system also features Brake Assist, which helps the vehicle come to a stop sooner during emergency braking, and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), which distributes brake force among the four wheels based on how much load each wheel is bearing.

Dual-Stage, Multiple-Threshold Front Airbags (SRS)
The Accord is equipped with dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags (SRS). These airbags are capable of being inflated at different rates depending on crash severity, seat-belt usage and/or other factors. Frontal airbags are designed to supplement the seat belts to help reduce the likelihood of head and upper body injuries in frontal crashes.

SmartVent Front Side Airbags
In the event of a moderate-to-severe side impact, the SmartVent side airbag is designed to deploy and inflate quickly to maximize potential protection for properly seated occupants, helping to protect the driver's or front passenger's upper body from injury, or vent before fully inflating if an occupant is in the side airbag deployment path, thereby decreasing the likelihood for an airbag-related injury.

Vehicle Stability Assist? (VSA®) with Traction Control
Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®)[1] is standard on all Accord models. During an under-steer or over-steer condition, it can brake individual wheels and/or reduce engine power to help restore your intended course.

"My 1998 Honda Accord has been more faithful than anything. When it's cold, she keeps rolling on.  In summer she never overheats, she's so faithful.  After 8 years and 177,258 miles this is "hands down", the most reliable, dependable, car ever.  Honda's are so durable like the old domestic cars used to be." "Materials and assembly quality appear to be at or above past Honda standards and, to our eyes, it even looks better than the car it replaces. That Honda needs a winner in the new Accord is clear. After our drive, we would say it has one." -- Inside Line

The well-rounded Accord is our top-rated affordable family sedan. The new 2.4-liter four-cylinder works well with the CVT and got an impressive 30 mpg[1] overall. -- Consumer Reports
